About Me

Silvana Smith Ph.D Metaphysical Science, Chirologist and Ethno Medicine and Psychology Practitioner, born in Cape Town to Albert (07.07.00) and Audrey (16.04.08) Smith.

In 1982 while still at school I took an interest in Buddhism and with little resources and help available started my journey of enquiry.  In 1995 a more serious note evolved and I started studying on my own the philosophy of Buddhism and what mediation , the mind and nirvana means to us.  Being a loner by nature I embarked on a 10 year exploration of life, me, the mind and moving to higher levels of energy.  In 1996 I quite smoking with the aid of hypnosis and there another road opened to further self discovery.  In 1998 I undertook to commit to a life of vegetarianism and finally in 2001 conquered this magnitude of a sacrifice which is now my way of life.  If I was to experience nirvana it had to be done to the prescribed standard.  What does it feel like to be at the edge of the world ! Did I have what it takes !

In 1999 I took up yoga at the Ananda Kutir Ashram in Rondebosch in Cape Town where I practiced from 2001 until 2003 when I moved to Johannesburg to embark on yet another journey of experiences.  In 2006 I finally became registered as an Ethno Psychology Practitioner with EPASA and in 2009 I completed my Ph.D in Metaphysics with the University of Sedona specialising in Mystic Research.

I joined the Satyam yoga school in Melrose in 2005 where I have been practising under the guidance of Swami Yogasagar.  In January 2009 I undertook a one year study programme on Yogic Life Skill based on the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali as instructed by Swami Yogasagar, who was initiated by Swami Satyananda of India.

In 2001 an earlier interest in Palmistry was awoken and I started a self study with the aid of books and friends.  Still continuing my career to support my interest in 2006 I knew I had to make some changes, giving up the past (old) and to take on other challenges (new).  After 18 months of search finally in 2009 I found Kevin Leak, a master in his own right and started a Chirology Course under his guidance.  He imparted to me how I could use all my previous experience, talent and knowledge to help myself and others.
